Inspired by the emblematic creations of Mr YSL, LVDP is a collection of fragrances that each interprets a centrepiece of the couturier’s wardrobe. Tuxedo, Caban, Saharienne, Trench, Caftan: perfumes graced by an ultimate signature. Designed to confront the sea, the cold and the rain, the caban - French term given to the pea coat - provides sailors with a protective cocoon of thick raw wool. Mr Yves Saint Laurent urbanised it to turn it into a manifesto of style. While its wide cut and authentic aspect remain unchanged, the introduction of golden carved buttons adorns it with a jewel-like radiance. Caban reveals its refined sense in an architectural bottle, enlighted with a pure square silver trim and an ornamented jewel cap, mirror to the iconic texture of the “grain de poudre”. The comfort of an enveloping tonka bean illuminated by the sparks of pink pepper. The ease of a felt-like refinement lined with a delicate authenticity.
